Online casinos are still having a lot of trouble finding acceptance in the United States, but the online gambling industry seems to be growing in accessibility everyday.  For better or worse, one form of online gambling that has never seem to encounter any resistance is online wagering on horse races.  The hope is that once gambling online for horse racing and playing the lottery become more common place that acceptance of online casinos will also become more common.

Illinois has just added themselves to the long list of states that allow players to gamble online.  The Illinois Racing Board will be meeting to decide which of three competing companies will have the privilege of offering wagering on horse racing.  The company will be legally licensed to offer these online gambling services.

Illinois plans to waste absolutely no time in establishing online gambling for horse racing.  The company that is approved by the Board will be able to begin offering services as soon as this very week.  That is an amazing turn around time. But that is the virtue and has always been an advantage held by online gambling companies and online casinos.  In the brick and mortar world of gambling, licensing was just a first step that came before elaborate and drawn out construction.   

There is certainly some construction required of online gambling venues, but the turn around time can be much quicker and the cost is far less expensive.  In addition to that online casinos and gambling sites can start construction long before gaining approval.  It is not illegal to build a website without permission.
