Small Acts of Terror

The United States government, through acts of small time terrorism, would like people to believe that gambling at online casinos was made illegal by the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.  That could not be further from the truth.

The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act did nothing more than put restrictions on the way Americans are allowed to make financial transactions with online casinos.  All of the main financial options such as using a bank account and a credit card have been prohibited.  But there are several legal ways for gamblers to make financial transactions with online casinos without breaking any laws.

Many online casinos were scared by the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.  The fled the United States market fearing that they were vulnerable to expensive legal action on the part of the United States government.  Unfortunately, this mas exodus sent the online gambling industry into a tail spin and several of those companies that fled no longer exist as a result.

The big companies that survived the storm have since then learned what the Unlawful Internet Gambling Act is actually about.  EWallets have made it possible for these companies to still offer services to American players without violating any United States laws.

Regulation is the most important issue.  While online casinos are not illegal in the United States they are also not regulated.  This means any and all companies are allowed to offer services to the American people.  There are some scam sites out there.  But there are, in the mean time, some sites that have been white listed by other trustworthy government bodies.
