Ever since the match up between Nikolay Daveydenko and Martin Vassallo Arguello back in August of 2007, the Association of Tennis Professionals has kept a close eye on the potential of gambling affecting the integrity of matches. Nothing was ever proven in this case but a lot of suspicion was raised due to the uncommonly high betting activity around such and under-publicized match.
