As far as exposure to gambling, there are not many dads willing to block ESPN where the World Series of Poker is often televised.  In truth, it was these televised poker matches that helped created the online casino boom.  After Chris Moneymaker entered the tournament through qualifying rounds at an online casinos then went on to win millions of dollars, several amateur players decided to try their luck.

It is clear that online casinos are a convenient scapegoat.  There is no evidence that it is any more threatening that all of the other gambling opportunities made available in the United States.
