New DealIn a future, where online casinos are legalized in the United States, a lot of things are likely to change. Gambling at brick and mortar casinos is not likely to ever go away. It is to ingrained in tradition and there is a communal aspect of visiting a casino that online casinos can never replace. There are still few things like visiting a really lavish hotel/casino and partying the weekend away with friends. Although it is the end goal for organization like the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association to legalize online casinos in the United States, that would probably only be the beginning of a new era in the industry. The top companies of the brick and mortar casino industry in the United States certainly would not be left out. They would be forced to remake themselves in order to compete with online casinos. It is likely that companies like Harrah’s Entertainment and MGM Mirage would host their own online casinos venues. There is also a strong possibility that the existing brick and mortar casino venues would begin hosting live events online from their casinos. There are several online casinos that already offer live dealers. Gamblers that visit the brick and mortar casinos may even find themselves playing against player that are thousands of miles way, playing from their living rooms. The possibilities are true endless. Once legislation is in place, it is a safe bet that technology is going to take online casinos to an all new height; this just the beginning. |
