Just OneIt often just
takes one. In the case of bringing online casinos,
legally, to the United States it looks like that one
might be New Jersey. It is often said the competition
breeds innovation. The same can bad said of
desperation. New Jersey is trying desperately to save
their beloved Atlantic City. Once the king pin of
casinos in the Northeast, that title is quickly being
taken away by the stiff competition that has popped up
in the past few years. Pennsylvania with its coming
table games has particularly been a threat.
New Jersey has been searching
desperately for ways of staying ahead of the
competition. Finally they have come to a point where
they are looking to ally themselves with that which was
once considered the enemy to brick and mortar casinos.
Online casinos.
Senator Raymon Lesniak of New
Jersey has proposed a bill that will legalize online
casinos in New Jersey. This bill would giver state
residents the option of gambling at online casinos run
by the revenue hungry casinos of Atlantic City. This of
course is just a start. If a bill like this passes,
that would be the ticket online casino have been looking
for.
There is no way that New Jersey
would legalize online casinos and online casino
regulations would not spread from state to state. Not
only that, once domestic online casinos are regulated,
the United States would be forced to find regulations
for online casinos operating in countries that are our
trade partners.
