Representative Barney Frank may be one of the few politicians out there that actually believe in his job.  Now it is easy for me to say that about the man considered to be a friend of online casinos and is the only politician working hard to have online casinos legalized.  However when you consider that Frank does not have a lot to gain from the cause he is fighting so hard for, there is something romantic to be found.

Barney Frank is not a gambling man.  He will probably never be found perched at a slot machine or tossing dice on a roulette table.  But for the past few years he has been fighting tooth and nail to get online casinos legalized and regulated in the United States.  He is also known as the politician attempting to make it legal to carry small quantities of marijuana. 

His ideals are simple.  The main reason that Barney Frank believes that online casinos should be legalized is because he does not believe the Federal government has the right to tell citizens of this country how to spend their own money.  It is also likely that he sees the benefit of taxing online casinos as an additional source of income, but the initial point seems to be what drives and motivates this politician. 

The marijuana issue is very similar for Frank.  For obvious reasons it may never be disclosed as to whether Frank is a pot smoker himself, but he has made it clear that he finds it ridiculous to have people in prison, alongside serious criminals, for pot possession.
