Online casinos would change the face of the United States if they were every regulated.  Well, maybe that is a strong way of putting it, but online casinos would certainly change the way states handle the issue of gambling expansion.  Gambling expansion is quite a big deal and few states have expanded their gambling offerings without a nasty fight and a big hullabaloo.

Currently, Pennsylvania has been hung up on an issue the many people have foreseen for a while now.  Pennsylvania is attempting to expand past slot machines and offer slot machines.  It will be a necessity to remain competitive for gambling dollars in the region, especially since West Virginia has already made their table game move.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives just barely passed a proposal to expand gambling in the state, 97-95.  A narrow victory, but a victory none the less.

However, one cannot help thinking, that while politicians are battling with narrow victories over table games, online casinos are making table games available to players all over the world.  When the United States finally regulates online casinos, online gambling will be a legitimate form of competition to these brick and mortar venues.   

Since online casinos offers almost all sorts of gambling, brick and mortar venues are going to need to keep up with the competition.  If governments still want their bet casinos bringing in millions to their state coffers, they are going to have to expand gambling with much more abandon or they will never be able to keep up with online casinos.
