No Vacation for Online Casinos

Thank goodness people do not go to Brazil for the gambling.   Most people are there for their for their beautiful beaches and even more beautiful people.  Brazil is not a gambling friendly nation and is now trying to make sure gambling is not even permitted at online casinos.  Once again, another country is taking the lead of the United States and introducing a bill that is horrifyingly similar to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.

The Brazilian Senate will be taking a look at a piece of legislation first proposed by Senator Magno Malta over one year ago.  The bill is almost identical to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.  It blocks online casinos from doing successful business by making it illegal for the banking system to process payments from online casinos and Internet gambling operators.

It seems foolish for Brazil, or any country for that matter to model a law after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.  The law has not had remotely great success in the United States where it originated and is looking at being overturned.  The American trial run with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act has proven the law to be ineffective and almost impossible to enforce.

The main thing that makes laws like the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act ineffective is the incredible adaptability of the Internet.  Gamblers that insist on playing at online casinos use online payment processors to fund their accounts and they are still operating completely within the confines of the law.
