Nevada should be anything but left behind when online casinos are finally regulated in the United States.  As a matter of fact, Nevada may become especially important when online casinos are first introduced for regulation legislation.  Nevada is somewhat of an expert in regulating casinos and the United States government may need to draw on their expertise when it comes time to regulate online casinos.

Few locations on the planet have as tight of regulations on gambling as can be found in Nevada.  The bottom line is that the regulations work and have worked for decades.  Las Vegas now among the most highly regulated gambling environments in the world.

When it comes to online casinos, the industry is still very much that of the Wild West.  There is some law and order in place, but it is so widespread and inefficient that there are still huge portions of the industry that cannot be trusted.  They United States will have to introduce tight regulations in order to keep consumers protected.  Nevada has been doing just that in Las Vegas for years, they are few better to ask for guidance.

“Frank has said that he plans on moving forward with the legislation in the Fall, but it looks unlikely that will occur with many pressing issues in the country still up in the air,” said observer Chris Drank.

“The more likely scenario is that Congress will look at the online gambling sometime early next year.”

Nevada’s expert advice my be called upon sooner than later as online casinos are expected to be legalized in some form by the end of the year.
