Argentina may be next in line to legalize online casinos.  Several countries across the globe are finally getting on board and regulating online gambling and online casinos and each have their different reasons.  Well maybe the reasons are not so unique.  Regulating and taxing online casinos can generate a lot of revenue.  But, Argentina’s reason may be slightly different.

Argentina recently received the right to broadcast soccer matches.  Rumor has it that they intend to use Internet gambling as a means to fund the business of broadcasting live soccer.  However, this theory remains a rumor.  There has been no confirmation from the Argentine government that the choice to legalize and regulate online casinos is at all connected to broadcasting soccer.

Regardless of why Argentina has chosen to speed up legislation that will regulate online casinos, it is will definitely be beneficial.  Online casinos could generate several millions of dollars in revenues for the government. 

It does not look like there is any stopping online casinos from receiving legalization an regulation in the Argentina as top political figures are not only saying its going to happen but that it is going to happen very soon.

“We're working so that this will become law within two or three months,” said Presidential Cabinet Chief Anibal Fernandez. 

Argentina will soon join the rest of the world in regulating the very lucrative industry of online casinos.  It is likely that the United States will eventually follow suit but at the moment no bill has been passed and the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act remains the main law that dictates United States policy toward online casinos and online gambling.
