Next are the efforts of Senator Robert Mendez.  Mendez is not pushing to legalize online casinos.  The focus of his proposed bill is on regulating online poker.  However many believe regulating online poker will only be a first step toward regulating online casinos.  But what is important about Mendez’s vision is that he wants to lay ground work for an Internet gambling industry in the United States.
