A case for Online Casinos 2

Conservatives in the United States government continues to protest online casinos by taking a moral stance against it.  We have seen that several arguments posed against online casinos can certainly be applied to industries supported by the United States government that either needs serious reform or should be banned altogether.  At the very least, these industries deserve the same level of hassle taken on by online casinos; no more no less.

One concern that conservatives consistently put forward against online casinos is related to gambling addiction.  Online casinos break the mold of all gambling venues before it.  Online casinos are literally available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Gamblers can even visit multiple casinos at once without having to leave their personal computer.

While there is not yet any proof to support this theory, Conservatives are concerned that this unprecedented access to gambling will lead to a spike in gambling addiction.  The is no argument against the fact that gambling can be addictive to many gamblers.  However there is factual evidence that few drugs are more addictive than the nicotine found in tobacco products.

The United States government has supported the tobacco industry since the founding fathers were alive.  There is absolutely no question that smoking leads to heart trouble, respiratory issues, and cancer.  All of these issues are a death sentence if not a guarantee of shorter life expectancy.  Perhaps the government should focus more time on banning cigarettes than telling Americans how to spend their hard earned money.
